Below are some of the pieces that we have designed and made in the past.

Please contact us with your requirements if you would like a quote for any similar, specific designs.

We rent our workshop from our main timber supplier who cuts most of the wood we use on site, we also have our own stocks of F.S.C. certified timber. This reduces transportation to a minimum and enables us to maintain control over the sustainable sources of our timber and maintain the important links between timber growers and users.

All prices quoted are only for guidance and are exclusive of VAT charged at 20%

Heartwood Oak is classed as "durable" by The Building Research Establishment. This means that a 50mm square section in ground contact will have a life expectancy of 15-25 years. A 100mm square section would have around 30-50 years. A 150mm square section would have around 45-75 years.

Oak bridges

14m long Oak bridge for Lewes District Council to provide access across a ditch to a new children's play area. The sides were filled in with oak slats to help deter the children from climbing and jumping off. Installed on site in Seaford in June 2011.

A local architect asked us to make an exact replacement for a bridge that had originally been made from Larch but had badly rotted. The decks have stainless steel rods running through them with threaded ends and nuts and bolts to secure the structure together. These rods also form the pivot points to form the bridge into a curve. The bridge is 6.2m long and 1.4m wide. Made and installed by us in December 2010.

A local garden designer asked us to undertake the complete construction of a 25m oak footbridge, for their client to gain access across their lake. They organised getting the lake drained and dredged, we then constructed the concrete footings and built the oak footbridge on site.

Fishing Platforms.

The Environment Agency and Hastings Borough Council asked us to provide a solution to allow anglers to fish on the very steep banks of a reservoir in Hastings, where conditions were dangerous for fishermen carrying and setting up their equipment. After numerous site meetings and discussions we built and installed four "platforms" along with sets of steps and paths. By retaining the bank at the front, rear and sides using oak we were able to excavate the area and provide a 3.6m square, level area for the fishermen to be able to set up their "bivvys" (tents) on and fish in comfort and safety. Each platform has land-drain installed and is finished using "type 1" gravel and woodchips to keep the area dry.

Wheelchair Access Fishing Platforms

Twelve months after completing the platforms above, The Environment Agency asked us to install four platforms and a path/gate at Harmers Pond, Hastings. Again, the bank was muddy and steep which made it dangerous for people to get near the water to fish. We installed the platforms pictured below, along with a 65' long path and gate. The four platforms range between 22'-38' long, they are constructed using oak planks and uprights to retain the bank at the front and rear, the surface is finished with a layer of "type 1". The long, gently sloping path enables wheelchair access to the platforms.
