Signs and waymarkers

Below are some examples of the signs and waymarkers we have made in the past. All of the furniture shown is made from local, sustainably grown timber & F.S.C. certified timber. If you have your own stocks of wood, we are happy to also make any of our stock range or specific commissions from timber supplied by you. Most of our work are designs undertaken for clients who need specific pieces made. We are happy to discuss ideas, budgets, and timescales with you and produce designs and quotations. Heartwood Oak is classed as "durable" by The Building Research Establishment. This means that a 50mm square section in ground contact will have a life expectancy of 15-25 years. A 100mm square section would have around 30-50 years. A 150mm square section would have around 45-75 years. Signs for Lewes District Council
Entrance signs for Wakehurst Place. Wakehurst Place needed oak frames to house posters advertising their latest events, made from FSC certified oak and installed along their entrance road. £900 plus VAT each. Lectern frames for Lewes District Council Lewes District Council asked us to design and make a pair of lectern frames to fit onto a jetty over a stream, the printed panels were designed by a local youth group. £600 plus VATeach Changeable signs for "sheep in fields" Lewes District Council had occasional problems with dogs not being under control in their fields. We were asked to produce signs that could be changed to show whether sheep were in the field or not. £200 plus VAT EACH Cruck Framed information frame. This was made for Whittington Castle in Shropshire, designed to echo the roofing structure seen in the nearby building, pictured before the printed panels were inserted. Carved medieval motifs. Roofed Information frame. This was made for The Ashdown Forest Visitor Centre car park. The roof is made from locally produced cleft oak shingles. £1800.00 plus VAT. Signs. Oak signs for Kew Gardens (Wakehurst Place)- £900 plus VAT each. Oval oak sign with engraved/coloured logo & lettering- £900.00 plus VAT. Angled information frame for South Downs Conservation Board, £900. Entrance signs for The National Trust, Nymans Gardens, The Vyne & Standen. Designed to house specific sized panels- £700- £1,200 plus VAT. The picture below shows the detail in which we can carve lettering and logos. Hook-on brochure holder- £130 plus VAT. Oak sign to hold a laminated menu card at The National Trust property "The Vyne." £500 including delivery & installation. Sign for Sussex Wildlife Trust- with a pulley system to allow the sign to be lowered for repainting/cleaning. Price- £700 including installation Entrance sign for The High weald Unit- the lettering is a specified style/size and their logo is carved and painted in the precise specified colours- £300 plus VAT. Entrance sign for Buchan Country Park, the pictures show the sign before installation and once installed with the plastic information panels fitted. Price- £920 plus VAT. The butterfly and snake are the Park's logo. We can supply signs with text in any style/size and logos carved and painted in any colours. Prices are dependant on the size and style, please contact us with your requirements. Pay & Display signs and entrance signs with brochure holders for South East Water. Entrance signs and ladder Boards for The Woodland Trust. Entrance signs for the RSPB. Sponsors sign for the Woodland Trust- £500 +VAT. Examples of logos we have carved. "Woodland Welcome" Threshold Signs. "Woodland Welcome Threshold signs"1.5m long, 27mm thick, 240mm wide, made from seasoned oak, standard lettering, you just need to tell us the wood name that you require. - £280 plus VAT "Woodland Welcome" waymarker post- 3" square oak post, 4'6" long, weathered top, chamfered corners, with the logo carved and painted £75 plus VAT.
Waymarker posts. We can produce waymarker posts with any specific logo carved and painted onto them, sizes from 75mm - 150mm square, prices from around £35-£185 plus VAT depending on the size of the post and the specific logo, please contact us for more information. "Footprints" We have carved various animal and bird footprints onto the seats of our benches. For this project, the RSPB asked us to carve the footprints of 15 different animals & birds onto oak discs, 50mm thick, along with the name of the animal/bird. These will then be installed in the play area at "Pulborough Brooks Nature Reserve" in West Sussex. The idea is that the children can learn about footprints they may find around the reserve. White painted guide posts. We have been contracted by East Sussex County Council to replace a number of the local white finger posts. They are an important local landscape feature as well as providing clear directions. They are made from local oak, the letters being made specially for us by a local company. We are undertaking the work entirely ourselves- from manufacture right through to installation, Prices are dependant on the dimensions of the fingers and the lettering required. Notice Boards. We can supply information frames or lectern information frames in various styles and sizes please see "landscape furniture" page or contact us with your requirements. Bollards. Oak bollards for The National Trust, Nymans Gardens. Oak bollards (Battle Abbey). We can supply bollards in a range of sizes and styles, please contact us with your requirements.
